The Support Services for Adults program is a day habilitation program that provides outcome-based services to adults who want a meaningful and productive day.  The program is designed to build interest in and develop skills for active participation in volunteerism, social activities, and community involvement. The services are person-centered and driven by each individual’s needs and desired supports.

Volunteer Service Projects

The Day Program is always looking for new volunteer opportunities to complete in the community or at the center. We partner with the following organizations doing on and off-site volunteer work:

• Cleaning and packaging eyeglasses for the Lions Club
• Sorting and bundling shoes for Shoes & Hope
• Clipping and packaging coupons for military families through Troopons
• Assembling literacy bags for the Library District
• Delivering meals for Meals on Wheels
• Sorting hangers and working in the store at Renewed Treasures
• Reading to dogs at the Humane Society

(this is not an all-inclusive list)

“We’re just so grateful that there was a place where he could go on a regular basis where he was doing something productive and constructive every day, learning something and interacting with other people. It was really heaven-sent that there was a program like this available.”
