Dear Advocate,

Governor Mike Kehoe has officially signed Missouri’s FY2027 budget, maintaining funding for Self-Directed Services and Day Services. This was no small decision and it’s one our community helped make possible.

Thanks to the voices of families, self-advocates, providers, and supporters across Missouri, Governor Kehoe chose to continue funding the services that help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live safe, meaningful, and connected lives.

At Community Living, this funding means the people we support can continue building job skills, volunteering in the community, pursuing their goals, and spending their days with purpose. It also means our Direct Support Professionals, the dedicated people who make this work possible every day, can continue empowering individuals to live their best lives.

Now, we’d love your help in saying thank you. Starling, our state association, keeps us informed and involved in advocacy all year. Now that Governor Kehoe has signed the budget and approved funding for services for Missourians with IDD, they’ve once again provided a one-click advocacy tool.

Send the pre-written thank you or make your own:

We hope we can count on your continued support as budget conversations begin again next legislative session. Together, we can continue building a more inclusive Missouri. On behalf of Community Living and our participants…
