Member criteria
- 18 years of age or older
- Diagnosed with a developmental disability
- Resident of St. Charles County
- Able to participate in an environment with non-medical personnel
The Adult Recreation program offers over 50+ activities per month, to match a variety of interest and skill levels. Our members are enriched by learning new skills, making life-long friends, and, quite simply, having tons of fun enjoying life!
Each month, members can choose from an array of activities, including, but not limited to: sports, classes, health and wellness, leisure and more. For a full list of activities, check out the brochure of activities.
Adult Recreation also offers the following Special Olympic teams: Bocce Ball, Bowling and Skiing. If you would like to participate in a sport that is not listed above, go to www.somo.org.
Fees
To become a member, there is a $20 initial start-up fee, and a yearly $10 renewal fee.
Each activity also has its own fee and ranges from $4 to $250.
