FREE Family Workshop: Building an Effective IEP

| FreeCome join us for an evening of education with Chrissy Mehrle, who will lead parents on how to build an IEP for your child’s unique needs.
Do you feel lost when you attend IEP meetings for your child? Come join us for the Building an Effective IEP Workshop! Chrissy Mehrle, the Training Coordinator at Family Advocacy and Community Training (FACT), will engage with parents on how to prepare for an IEP meeting, as well as break down the components of the IEP itself.
Chrissy Mehrle has spent the past decade supporting and empowering families of children with disabilities. In her current role, Chrissy designs and delivers comprehensive trainings that help families, educators, and professionals navigate special education systems, understand their rights, and build effective advocacy skills.
Her work focuses on empowering parents of neurodivergent children to become confident, informed partners in their child’s education. Previously, Chrissy served as an Educational Advocate, providing direct support to families to ensure students received appropriate services, accommodations, and inclusive educational opportunities.
Community Living, Inc. will host this event on 05/14/26 at its Admin Building, located at 1040 Saint Peters Howell Road, Saint Peters, MO 63376. Doors will open at 5:30 pm, and the workshop will begin at 6:00 pm. This event will be approximately 2 hours long, and dinner will be provided for families in attendance.
