Community Living is a Safety Net Partner. What does that mean?

As part of United Way of Greater St. Louis’ Safety Net, we share funds donated during United Way’s fall campaign. The more United Way raises, the more we’re given. Last year, Community Living employees donated over $10,200 and we were given over $205,000 in funds from United Way. These funds allow us to provide a “safety net” for our community by offering services for people with disabilities.

S’More Kickoff

Monday, Sept. 22

We’re kicking off camp with sweet treats and fun activities! Pledge cards are due by Friday, October 3rd and can be completed and returned, or done online at the bottom of this page.

Build a Fire

Monday, Sept. 22-Friday, Sept. 26

Turn in an early pledge card/online payment to add a flame to your program’s fire. The program/location with the biggest fire at the end of the week earns a group pizza celebration.

Earn Badges

Monday, Sept. 22-Friday, Oct. 3

Using the badges sheet included in your kickoff packet, color in badges according to the activities you participate in. Earn ALL badges and turn in your completed sheet for a special prize!

Bingo!

Tuesday, Sept. 23-Friday, Oct. 3

Use the Bingo card given to you with your kickoff materials to play along as we draw a different camp card each day. The first person to get Bingo wins a $20 Target gift card!

Kona Ice

Wednesday, Sept. 24

The Kona Ice truck is coming to camp! The truck is scheduled to visit each location between 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Each employee gets a free build-your-own sno cone.

Fishing Pond

Thursday, Sept. 25-Thursday, Oct. 2

Stop by the Admin Office to go fishing! For $1/cast, you’ll get to fish for fun prizes!

Bear Attack!

Friday, Sept. 26-Friday, Oct. 2

For $1, receive a Bear Claw to place on anyone’s door as an “attack” (Don’t have an office door? Write the name of the individual and place it where they can see it!). Person with the most attacks will receive a whipped cream pie to the face! For $5, you can pay for Bear Spray to be protected!

Survival Skills Trivia

Monday, Sept. 29

Sharpen your survival skills and watch Teams for Survival Skills Trivia! The employee with the highest quiz score wins a $20 Amazon gift card. This activity is free to attempt!

Rock Painting

Wednesday, Oct. 1

We’ll supply the supplies. You bring the arts and crafts abilities. Paint a rock to reflect our Camp Community Living theme and share a picture on Teams! This activity is free to participate in.

Camp closes and pledges are due Friday, Oct. 3.

Pledge for PTO

Hourly Employees

Hourly employees that submit a pledge form to give $1.50 per pay period for 48 pay periods for a total of $72 dollars will receive 1 day of PTO.

CHANCE TO WIN AN ADDITIONAL DAY OF PTO – Increase your donation to $2.00 per pay period for 48 pay periods (total of $96) and you’ll be entered into a monthly drawing in which 3 winners will be drawn each month to receive an additional day of PTO.

Payroll deductions start in January 2026. The 1 day of PTO will arrive in their PTO bank on the second paycheck in January 2026.

Salary Employees

Salary employees that submit a pledge form to give $3.00 per pay period for 48 pay periods for a total of $144 dollars will receive 1 day of PTO.

CHANCE TO WIN AN ADDITIONAL DAY OF PTO – Increase your donation to $3.50 per pay period for 48 pay periods (total of $168) and you’ll be entered into a monthly drawing in which 3 winners will be drawn each month to receive an additional day of PTO.

Payroll deductions start in January 2026. The 1 day of PTO will arrive in their PTO bank on the second paycheck in January 2026.

Please note: A one-time online donation that meets the minimum amount for PTO incentives based on your employee status does qualify you to receive PTO. Any donations for the raffle game must be made on top of your minimum PTO giving amount.
