Community Living is excited to welcome Alivia as our new part-time receptionist! She joined us in September after connecting with our Employment Services program through Vocational Rehabilitation. Alivia supports the front desk on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons helping with phone calls and greeting visitors.

Her kindness and creativity have already left a mark on the office. When she has free time, she spends it doodling custom frogs for the team. “I found some frog doodles on Pinterest one day trying to figure out what to draw,” Alivia shared. “The next day I drew one on a Post-it note and gave it to a coworker. Then I just started to be the person who doodles frogs on Post-its. I’ve gotten a lot of requests. I’m seriously considering if I should make a request form for frog doodles!”

Outside of work, Alivia enjoys reading, drawing, painting, and watching a good TV show or movie.

When reflecting on her new role, she said she’s proud to help people who come in or call Community Living and ensure they have a great experience, just like she did when she met our Employment Services team. “Even when I was doubting myself, they were there to encourage me and cheer me on,” Alivia said. “They helped me see that I could be independent, have a job, and one day travel outside of my comfort zone. They’re some of the kindest, most caring people I’ve ever met.”

We’re so glad to have Alivia on our team and love the positivity and creativity she brings to our office. Welcome, Alivia!
