DESCRIPTION:Come join us for an evening of education with Chrissy Mehrle\, who will lead parents on how to build an IEP for your child’s unique needs. \n\n\n\n\nDo you feel lost when you attend IEP meetings for your child? Come join us for the Building an Effective IEP Workshop! Chrissy Mehrle\, the Training Coordinator at Family Advocacy and Community Training (FACT)\, will engage with parents on how to prepare for an IEP meeting\, as well as break down the components of the IEP itself. \nChrissy Mehrle has spent the past decade supporting and empowering families of children with disabilities. In her current role\, Chrissy designs and delivers comprehensive trainings that help families\, educators\, and professionals navigate special education systems\, understand their rights\, and build effective advocacy skills. \nHer work focuses on empowering parents of neurodivergent children to become confident\, informed partners in their child’s education. Previously\, Chrissy served as an Educational Advocate\, providing direct support to families to ensure students received appropriate services\, accommodations\, and inclusive educational opportunities. \nCommunity Living\, Inc. will host this event on 05/14/26 at its Admin Building\, located at 1040 Saint Peters Howell Road\, Saint Peters\, MO 63376. Doors will open at 5:30 pm\, and the workshop will begin at 6:00 pm. This event will be approximately 2 hours long\, and dinner will be provided for families in attendance. \n\nThis event is FREE\, but registration is required. Complete the online application.\n\n\nQ: What does the job entail?A: Camp counselors (also known as Direct Support Professionals or DSPs) will provide support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities while doing fun activities like arts and crafts\, science experiments\, games\, field trips\, and more!\n\n\nQ: What is the schedule like?A: SOAR Summer Camp is held on weekdays June 4th through August 8th. That means every weekend off! Employees will work varying shifts 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. depending on their schedule. They must also attend paid training prior to the start of camp.\n\n\nQ: What are pay and benefits?A: Hourly pay is $18/hour including paid training. Employees who continue as Teen Club staff when the school year begins could be eligible for more benefits* including tuition reimbursement\, 401K match\, paid time off\, and advancement opportunities.\n\n\nQ: What are the job requirements?A: No experience is necessary!
