2017 Legacy Award Nominee: Mark Hollander

Mark Hollander is the 2017 recipient of Community Living’s Legacy Award. Mark has spent 35 years in the banking business starting as a teller at Community Federal Savings & Loan at Mark Twain Mall in 1981, and is now a Business Banking Relationship Officer at UMB Bank covering all of St. Charles County. Almost all of his time has been spent working with customers across the St. Charles County area to help provide Retirement Account services, Consumer Banking products and, now, Business Lending services.

Mark is a lifelong resident of St. Charles City and has a passion for his community. He has volunteered for several non-profit organizations – Community Living, Inc. (Board Member and former Chairman of the Board), The O’Fallon Family YMCA (Board Member), The American Cancer Society (Relay for Life Volunteer), VISION St. Charles County Leadership (Participant, Board Member and Former Chairman of the Board), Faith Chapel Church (Current Board Member and Board Secretary) and The Sparrow’s Nest Maternity Home (Current Board Member and Board Treasurer).

Mark was recently honored as the 2016 VISIONARY of the Year by VISION St. Charles County Leadership and by Streetscape Magazine as part of the “Beyond The Best” Class of 2016. He is also a certified instructor for Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and has helped direct more than 200 families through the program toward personal financial stability.

Mark lives in St. Charles City with his wife, Melissa, and their three dogs – Yadi, Matheny and Buddy! He enjoys spending time at their little lake cabin on Lake of the Ozarks and with his family – Katie Nation and son-in-law, Chris Nation, grandson, Blake; and Maggie Ibrahim and son-in-law, Danny Ibrahim. And, of course, watching Cardinal Baseball!
